Graduation
Celebrating years of learning, faith, perseverance, and family.
Graduation is an opportunity for HHE families to come together and honor the accomplishments of our graduating seniors. We want each student to have a meaningful ceremony that recognizes both the work of the graduate and the family who walked beside them throughout their homeschool journey.
A Graduation Created for Homeschool Families
Homeschool graduation represents much more than the completion of coursework. It marks years of dedication, growth, flexibility, sacrifice, and learning together as a family.
HHE provides a shared graduation ceremony so homeschool seniors can celebrate this milestone alongside fellow graduates while still preserving the family-centered nature of home education.
Who May Participate?
- The graduate should be part of an HHE member family for the graduation year.
- The student should be completing the homeschool high school program established by his or her family.
- Families should complete graduation registration and requested ceremony information by the announced deadlines.
- Graduates should plan to participate in the ceremony rehearsal and other required preparations.
Important Graduation Details
- Each homeschool family remains responsible for determining its student's graduation requirements and issuing the student's diploma.
- Information about caps, gowns, tassels, photographs, and other ceremony items will be provided to registered families.
- Ceremony information and deadlines will be communicated to participating graduates throughout the year.
- Parents play an important role in the HHE graduation experience and may be included in special portions of the ceremony.
A Meaningful Ceremony
Our goal is to create a graduation experience that feels personal, joyful, and appropriate for homeschool families.
Graduate Recognition
Each graduate has the opportunity to be individually recognized and celebrated during the ceremony.
Family Involvement
HHE recognizes that parents and families have played a central role in each student's homeschool education.
Christian Fellowship
Graduation gives our HHE community an opportunity to celebrate God's faithfulness and encourage students as they begin their next chapter.
Rehearsal
Graduates participate in rehearsal so everyone understands the procession, ceremony order, and expectations.
Photography
Families will receive information about photography opportunities and any plans for graduate or group photographs.
Community Celebration
Friends, family, and fellow HHE members can gather to celebrate the graduates and their accomplishments.
Parents Are Part of the Story
One of the unique joys of homeschool graduation is recognizing the role parents have played throughout their student's education.
HHE's ceremony is designed to honor not only the graduate's hard work, but also the years of teaching, encouraging, praying, adapting, and persevering that happen within a homeschool family.
Planning to Graduate With HHE?
Graduation registration information will be shared with HHE families during the school year. Families with a graduating senior should watch member communications for deadlines, forms, ceremony preparation, and other important details.
